Goodbye Summer....

Photobucket

Whew what a summer! My kids started school this week and we have been busy getting adjusted to the school routine.

I thought I would share some end of summer fun we enjoyed. We took a vacation to Perdido Beach.

We stayed at Needle Rush Point condos. I fell in love with the complex and am scheduling a stay next summer in the same unit. This complex had the best of both worlds. There are units on the Gulf side and they have units on the river side which faces Ono Island!

Here is a view from the beach.

We spent a lot of time {day and night} fishing on the docks.

The kids found and played with hermit crabs.

What is a beach trip without splinters in your feet?? This is the face Dominick was making while his dad was trying to remove his first splinter.

We spent countless hours at the pool.

We brought the boat down and tubed.

We went to dinner by boat.

Basically we did a whole bunch of NOTHING and I enjoyed every second of it!!

We got home Sunday afternoon and had to get the kids ready for school the next day.

My little girls are not so little anymore...they started middle school.

My precious boys started 2nd grade.

The transition from summer to school days has gone smoother then I had anticipated! If only I could get the desire to still be at the beach out of my head we would be doing better!!
